Hound / Setter / Mixed (medium coat) Dog

Nougat the Dog needs a home

Please contact Denise ([email protected]) for more information about this pet.

What do you get when you mix honey, sugar and nuts? A “Nougat!”, that’s what! Yes, I’m that sweet little girl who was 1 of 11 pups taken from a bad situation by animal control in Kentucky. Since my ears are growing and my nose looks to the ground, I’m thought to be a hound mix. Active as any normal pup, I’m always looking for fun and activity. I may grow as large as 50 pounds, but maybe not, it’s an uncertainty.  At 5 months, I’m about 25 pounds and taking life head on enjoying everything that comes my way. In my foster home there are other dogs here but they are older. I do respect them but they just don’t have time for a young social and outgoing Gal like me.

I do have a soft mouth with with play, take treats ever so nice and I eat side by side the others. Heck, you can handle me and my bowl without issues. I even tolerate the “feline“ Critters In my foster home, so that says a lot about my personality!

Tug or playing ball are great fun but I do admit my retrieving leaves much to be desired. I do love to romp and wrestle with other active buddies or my 2 legged family if they like. Stuffed toys are where it’s at and yes, a tough chew toy settles me at night. I’m not perfect, YET as I’m about 80% house trained, but it’s coming!!! My leash walking and recall still need tweaking, but being food motivated, I’m sure together we can make it happen!

After a hard day of play, I do sleep quietly in my crate wit’s dreams of my forever family dance in my head!
Nougat candies are sweet, but mom says I’m even Sweeter! Nougat’s a girl with ALL KINDS of potential, just needing YOU to be my best.

Her adoption donation includes spaying, vaccinations, implanting of a microchip, application of flea meds and worming.

Nougat is in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting her.
